Tradition dictates that walking is the best method for getting to know a place intimately. And despite its modest size, Cyprus’s natural surroundings and diverse topography are ideal for exploration and discovery, spanning an incredible 10,000 years.
With a favourable climate throughout the year, the island’s great outdoors are easily accessible and offer a variety of opportunities to discover nature, history, and culture, thanks to the abundance of sign posted nature paths. The island’s spectacular scenery and robust Mediterranean culture are highlighted by the establishment of 52 designated walking trails. By travelling them, you can find an abundance of unique flora and fauna, as well as remnants of the island’s mining past and other notable monuments. Even if some routes are more difficult than others, they are all a feast for the senses, especially in the spring, when you may experience the sights, sounds, and scents of nature in all its splendour.
