OVERVIEW

Landa beach, also known as Golden Paradise Beach, is a tranquil beach on the western side of Ayia Napa, between the well-known Nissi Beach and the coves of Macronissos. A magnificent length of golden sand slopes softly into the crystal-clear Mediterranean Sea in Landa. Typically, the beach is tranquil and safe for children. Landa Beach has a lifeguard station that is staffed throughout the summer months. There are sun loungers and parasols available for rent, as well as Wi-Fi. Alongside Landa Beach is a tiny woodland containing a beautiful, tree-shaded picnic place. A promenade at the water’s edge connects Landa Beach to Nissi Beach.
Also the municipal authorities of Ayia Napa have installed an auditory guidance system for those with vision impairments at Landa beach.
The system was implemented with ‘Accessible Nature and Culture-Sustainable Tourism-In-Heritage’ in mind, a project that aims to improve disabled people’s access to natural and cultural settings. A feature of the system comprises audio guiding buoys that tell users of the distance from the beach and depth of the water through a waterproof remote control. This is designed to allow visually impaired folks to safely and freely enjoy the ocean and swimming.
