A stunning coastline with an old past. Located in the wider Lemesos (Limassol) region of Episkopi Bay, Kourion beach is a 1 kilometre stretch of beachfront that is particularly spectacular due to its natural pallet of colours and historical history. Its designated swimming area includes an extraordinarily broad, sand-and-pebble beach. The seawaters are crystal clear and of varied colours of blue that contrast attractively with the white hills that surround them. Windsurfing is also available here. On the beach, there are restrooms, showers, changing rooms, sunbeds, umbrellas, and various fish restaurants. Within a short distance (about 1 km), there are convenience stores, a playground, and lodging. From April through October, lifeguards with lifesaving equipment and first aid services are stationed at the beach. Access is convenient by foot, bus, bicycle, or automobile, and parking is provided. The beach also provides access for people with disabilities.
